The Welcome Mat
No more paper lists. No more lost tickets. No more lines.
The Problem
Event check-in was chaos. Paper guest lists, printed tickets that got lost, volunteers squinting at handwriting, and a growing line of frustrated families. There was no real-time head count, no way to know who had actually arrived, and no graceful way to handle walk-ups versus pre-registered attendees.
The Fix
Families register and buy tickets online, receiving a unique QR code on their phone. At the gate, a volunteer scans the code — instant verification, instant entry. The system tracks attendance in real time, handles multiple ticket types, and has a manual override for walk-ups. The key feature: it works offline. Event venues don't always have reliable internet, so the system caches the guest list locally and syncs when connectivity returns.
The Outcome
Check-in lines disappeared. Volunteers went from stressed to smiling. Event organizers could see real-time attendance numbers on their phone. And the offline capability meant it worked flawlessly even at an outdoor venue with spotty cell coverage.
