When Wix can't keep up, you build something better.
The Problem
A successful Seattle-area contractor had outgrown their Wix site. The previous designer had broken their visual consistency — logo backgrounds didn't match page backgrounds, city service pages had the wrong content, and image file sizes were destroying load times. Worse, the platform itself was the bottleneck. They couldn't showcase their craftsmanship the way it deserved, and they were paying monthly for a tool that couldn't grow with them.
The Migration
I moved them to a fully self-hosted WordPress deployment with the Kadence theme — giving them the full flexibility of their own site with the convenience of GUI-based content management. The project covered the entire stack: hosting setup and configuration, theme customization, SEO foundation (structured data, meta tags, sitemap), business email infrastructure through Google Workspace, transactional email via SMTP, security hardening, and a project portfolio that finally does their work justice.
The Result
A site that loads fast, looks professional, and can grow with the business. The client can update content, add projects, and manage their site without calling a developer every time. And they own their hosting — no more platform lock-in.

Whether it's a website, a system that won't sync, or an idea that sounds a little too wild — that's my sweet spot.
